WHY IT'S IN THE HUNT

Marvel Comics Presents #74 and #79 are chapters from Barry Windsor-Smith's legendary Weapon X storyline, one of the most important stories in Wolverine's history.

Published across Marvel Comics Presents #72–84, Weapon X revealed the horrifying process that transformed Logan into a weapon, including the experiments responsible for bonding adamantium to his skeleton.

Marvel Comics Presents #74 contains Weapon X Chapter Two, as the Weapon X project discovers exactly what its new subject is capable of.

Marvel Comics Presents #79 contains Weapon X Chapter Seven and features one of the storyline's most recognizable images: Wolverine wearing the Weapon X helmet and equipment on Barry Windsor-Smith's cover.

Barry Windsor-Smith wrote, illustrated and colored the Weapon X chapters, giving the storyline a distinctive visual identity that has become inseparable from Wolverine's origin.

Offered together as a matching CGC 9.6 White Pages pair, these two slabs provide standout chapters and covers from one of the definitive Wolverine stories of the Copper Age.
