WHY IT'S IN THE HUNT

Free Comic Book Day 2020: Spider-Man/Venom #1 contains two Marvel stories featuring Spider-Man, Black Cat and Venom from creative teams including Donny Cates, Jed MacKay, Ryan Stegman and Patrick Gleason.

The major collecting significance is the 1st full appearance of Virus, the armored antagonist introduced during Donny Cates' Venom run. The book has an unusual publication history: it was intended to reach readers earlier but was distributed after Venom #26 because of COVID-19-related shipping delays.

The front cover features Spider-Man, Black Cat and Venom with artwork by Ryan Stegman and JP Mayer, giving the issue strong Spider-Man and symbiote collecting appeal in addition to its key-appearance status.

This copy is graded CGC 9.8 NM/MT with White Pages and features CGC's Venom custom label, making for an especially fitting presentation of this modern Venom key.
