WHY IT'S IN THE HUNT
This Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America #3 Sketch Edition features an original Mike Perkins sketch created directly on the blank cover.
We call this one “Captain Deadpool.”
Perkins combines Deadpool with the unmistakable imagery of Captain America, giving Deadpool Captain America's star, shield and patriotic styling against a hand-drawn red-and-white flag background while retaining Deadpool's mask and swords.
This is not a commercially printed variant image. The artwork was drawn by Mike Perkins directly on this individual copy, making the sketch itself unique to this book.
The CGC Signature Series label documents that the comic was signed and sketched by Mike Perkins on August 23, 2009.
With Deadpool, Captain America imagery, original Mike Perkins artwork and CGC Signature Series authentication all on one cover, “Captain Deadpool” is a distinctive piece for Deadpool, Captain America and original sketch collectors.
